The future is here. The other day an innovative application for searching romantic date “Juliet” appeared in the App Store.
The new service resembles the program used by the heroes of the “Black Mirror” in the episode “Hang the DJ”. There are no detailed questionnaires and the swipe system – the application itself selects the appropriate pair for the user. When the time for communication established by artificial intelligence expires, users need to fill out a questionnaire about a partner. Then, depending on the answers, the algorithms select the next candidate, considering the user’s previous experience.

“Thus, Juliet will select a pair for you until you meet your soul mate,” said the author of the application, 24-year-old programmer Julian Alexander, in an interview with the media.
Julian admitted that the creation of the dating service was inspired by the series “Black Mirror”:
“Charlie Brooker, the creator of the Black Mirror, is a source of my inspiration. He copes with the demonstration of the merger of humanity and technology. While programming Juliet I wanted to achieve the same. I focused on a quality approach — the idea was to reduce the number of “matches” to one at a time. Through this method, people will have the opportunity to establish a real emotional connection.”

The programmer added that the application is still available in test mode. After completion of the service will appear in the UK and other countries.
